I love to set intentions for my week ahead, I find this small ritual aligns my actions for the week ahead and organises my thoughts around building these intentions.
Affirmations and being open to guidance is very helpful for me when remaining intentional about my growth.
Currently, I am becoming more aligned with my voice and how I share it.
AFFIRMATIONS
- I notice my insecurities
- My responses are intentional
- Everything always works out for me
A deeper look into these intentions
I notice my insecurities.
I have found that when I am trying something new or without clear direction, I can begin to wonder if I am able to face these unknowns and fear will begin to rear it’s head. My quiet inner voice will tell me untruths and when I notice these within me, I can recognise them for their detrimental intent, here to bully me and keep me small - away from my intention, leaving me questioning my self and taking a throw at my confidence.
This affirmation reminds me to notice my insecurities for what they are - fear based and untrue.
My responses are intentional
I have learned that when I give myself space to respond to something rather than react, I am able to respond in a way that feels truer to myself and aligned with my beliefs about how outside influences affect me.
I have found that my responses are on auto-pilot at times and this is because I have conditioned myself to respond that way, even though it may no longer represent my true feelings in that moment, landing out of habit instead of truth.
Ensuring my responses are intentional reminds me to allow air between an experience and my response, take the time to think it through and respond in a way that aligns with the person I truly am and not the person I have been conditioned to be.
Everything always works out for me
When things feel really challenging for me, reminding myself that all other experiences prior to this one, have worked out for me, keeps me grounded not allowing my thoughts to snuggle in with the what-ifs and worst case scenarios that my brain will inevitably resort to.
There is a track record of surviving situations harder than the situation I am facing now.
So I chose to believe this to be true by affirming that everything always works out for me. It’s a queue to surrender to the unfolding of an experience and await the treasures it will naturally give.
Setting 1 or a few affirmations for yourself with intent can really assist your personal growth and develop a deeper sense of trust within one-self.
